About the author

Elle J. Lyon is the author of She Who Survives and the Eden's Grove series—near-future psychological thrillers about what happens to women on the underside of power, and what it might take to build something better.

Her stories follow women in their hardest-fought days and during the aftermath of surviving abuse, where they learn to trust their own instincts again and lean into the belief that a better way must exist, no matter the cost.

After all, every society needs control to function, and someone always pays more for that stability. Eden's Grove is asking what it would look like if that "someone" were men.

Elle spends her days ignoring the idea of perfect utopias and focuses on messy, (but realistic!) ones. What would a better world actually look like? What would it still get wrong? And would the tradeoffs be worth it?
